It's been a hard few months. Travelling back and forth to my hometown in Canada as my father's cancer progressed quickly. He passed peacefully on January 3rd. And it was not lost on me just how important photographs are.
I took this photo of my father years ago when we were deep sea fishing in Clearwater. He LOVED to fish... "Fish" was his nickname. It's how all of his closest friends addressed him. He used to take me fishing all the time when I was young. So for me, this photo is EXACTLY him! It's perfect in every way. And it's invaluable. I'll cherish it forever.
I say this to make a point about how important wedding photography can be. I've created many photos of loved ones that are no longer with us and I know how cherished these photos are to my clients. Sometimes my photograph is the last taken of those loved ones.
So sorry for your loss. I know I said it to you in person, but I just came across this blog post, and wanted to tell you that we have a big hug for you!
